The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is the regulatory body for therapeutic goods (including medicines, medical devices, gene technology, and blood products) in Australia. The TGA is responsible for regulating the supply, import, export, manufacturing and advertising of therapeutic goods Medical Devices must be registered with the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) before they can be lawfully supplied in or exported from Australia, unless exempt from being registered in the ARTG or otherwise authorised by the TGA.
